JOB TRAINING MATTERS
Nicole, a young single mother, needed to find training and a job so she could support herself and her baby. A friend suggested she call United Way’s 2-1-1 call center. When she called and related her problem to the 2-1-1 operator, she was referred to an agency with a job training program. Nicole contacted the agency and enrolled in the program. Today, with the help of the agency, Nicole now has a trade and the agency even helped her find a good job.
