United Way is the charity of choice for thousands of citizens in the CSRA. Your donation is combined with the gifts of others to fund dozens of local programs for our community's children, elderly, families, and emergency services. There are many ways you can help.

Payroll Deduction - Most companies that run a United Way campaign offer their employees the opportunity to make a pledge through payroll deduction. It's an easy way to make a large impact by spreading your gift throughout the year.

Direct Gift - More of us are working for small companies or for ourselves. If you would like to make an individual gift to the community through United Way, please click on United e Way above or contact us for more information.

Leadership Giving - These groups give special recognition to individuals who exhibit exceptional commitment to United Way through their giving. There are three different areas of leadership giving.

• The Alexis de Tocqueville Society - a national society that honors individuals who contribute $10,000 or more each year.
• The Quill Society - members are recognized for their contributions of $1,000 or more each year. There are four levels within the Quill Society:
  • Platinum Quill - $7,500 - $9,999
  • Gold Quill - $5,000 - $7,499
  • Silver Quill - $2,500 - $4,999
  • Bronze Quill - $1,000 - $2,400
• The Horizons Club - a local giving society that recognizes individuals who contribute $500 - $999 each year.

In-Kind Donations – Want to put that used furniture, computer, or supplies lying around your home or office to good use? You may want to make a donation to United Way or one of our partner agencies.

United Way connects donated goods with the nonprofit organizations that need them most. Because of your donation of gifts-in-kind, nonprofits can redirect their dollars from supplies to programs and services.

Nonprofit organizations can use donations of:

• Office furniture, equipment and supplies
• Computers, printers and monitors
• New toys or books
• Entertainment coupons and tickets

Nonprofits cannot use damaged items, such as:

• Damaged office furniture and equipment
• Unusable office supplies
