Each year, local businesses take part in a community-wide program offered by United Way of the CSRA. Companies “loan” select individuals to work as a full-time employee with United Way from late August through mid-November. During this 12 week period, the Loaned Professionals maximize the efforts of United Way to help reach the campaign goal.
Benefits companies see in the development of employees who participate in the LP Program include: • Key community leadership contacts • Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds • Executive leadership skills • Organization • Public Speaking • Sales
Financial Sponsorship
For companies who are interested in the Loaned Professional Program but who cannot provide an employee, financial sponsorship is another option worth considering. A financial investment of $7,500 makes it possible for United Way to hire a qualified candidate for the position.
