2010 Strategic Plan
Community building is the process of mobilizing communities to improve people’s lives. United Way of the CSRA builds on the strengths of our member agencies, focusing on specific actions and working to achieve results that create an impact in the community. Through our partner agencies we fund programs that impact our community in four areas:
- Helping young people succeed
- Strengthening families and individuals
- Promoting health, wellness and safety
- Providing emergency services
These services span a diverse sector of races, genders, ages, and cultures. They provide a safety net for this community.
Vision 2010 challenges us to be the community’s acknowledged resource for unifying resources to meet community needs. Our strategic plan includes:
- Annually establishing a fund development goal that meets or exceeds the annual rate of inflation.
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive communications plan to educate the public.
- Assuring accountability by establishing a set of desired outcomes and measurements that enhances our ability to accomplish our mission.
- Aligning United Way donor gifts with identified community needs.
- Identifying new ways to expand base of contributions and volunteers.
Note: A 2015 Strategic Planning Committee has convened, and a new plan will be announced soon.
