SPECIAL EVENTS OPPORTUNITIES
 
2009 Project Serve (Day of Caring)
Sponsorship Commitment by: January 2009
Sponsorship Request: $2,000 (Seeking 2 sponsors)
Sponsorship Details: United Way hosts an annual Day-of Caring where volunteers from several local companies go out to non-profit agencies in the CSRA and complete projects such as painting, yard work, playground construction, basic repairs, etc.  The agencies are so very appreciative of the work done by the volunteers each year, and you can truly see what a difference the volunteers make at an agency!  Volunteers are provided t-shirts with sponsors’ logos.  A kickoff breakfast is held on the day of the event, and the sponsorship covers breakfast and the t-shirts.
Opportunity for sponsor/sAll communication and media coverage features sponsors’ names and logo. Sponsors are recognized on the volunteers’ t-shirts and are invited to speak briefly at the kickoff breakfast.
 
Leaders Summit
Sponsorship Commitment by:  March 2009
Sponsorship Request: $5,000 (Seeking 2 sponsors)
 
Sponsorship Details: United Way will host a Leaders Summit luncheon for approximately 100 local business leaders to celebrate the 2008 campaign. This event will thank local leaders for their past support and encourage their future involvement in 2009. A professional speaker will be engaged to speak, and the event will be held in May at the Doubletree Hotel.
Opportunity for sponsor: All communication and media coverage features sponsor’s name and logo. Sponsors are recognized at the event with signage and an announcement. Additionally, a representative of the sponsoring organization is invited to make comments at the event.
 
2009 CSRA Campaign Kickoff Luncheon
Sponsorship Commitment by: March 2009
Sponsorship Request: $12,500 (Seeking 2-3 sponsors)
Sponsorship Details: Annually, United Way hosts a luncheon to kick our annual fundraising campaign. The luncheon is held on a Monday in late August at the Bell Auditorium. The kickoff is held in conjunction with area civic club meetings and businesses. This has become a fun event for area civic clubs and business leaders with 650 community attendees. This year’s event will include special exciting entertainment. Sponsorship covers the cost of invitations, programs, decorations, entertainment, audio-visual, etc.  
Opportunity for sponsor: All communication and media coverage features sponsor’s name and logo. Sponsor is recognized at the meeting with signage, the program, etc. Additionally, a representative of the sponsoring organization is seated at the head table and is invited to make comments.
2009 Business After Hours
Sponsorship Commitment by: November 2008
Sponsorship Request: $3,000 (Seeking 2-3 sponsors)
 
Sponsorship Details and Options:  United Way will host “Business After Hours” in January 2009. The evening event provides a networking opportunity for small businesses and professionals in the area and allows these individuals to learn more about their local United Way.  
 
Opportunity for sponsor: All communications feature sponsor’s name and logo. Sponsor/s is recognized at the event and, based on sponsorship level, is invited to make comments.
 
 Tocqueville Society 13th Anniversary Celebration
Sponsorship Commitment by: July 2009
Sponsorship Request: $2,500 (Seeking 1 sponsor)
Sponsorship Details and Options: 
  1. United Way hosts a formal cocktail party in honor of its Tocqueville Society members and their guests every year. These members contribute $10,000+ annually to UWCSRA’s fundraising campaign. Typically, the event is held in the home of a Tocqueville Society member, and heavy hors d’oeuvres are served with an open bar.   Sponsorship covers the cost of invitations and catering. (Approximately 65-75 attendees.)
Opportunity for sponsor: All communication and media coverage features sponsor’s name and logo. Sponsor is recognized at the party with signage and an announcement. Additionally, a representative of the sponsoring organization is invited to attend the party.
2009 Annual Meeting
Sponsorship Commitment by: November 2008
Sponsorship Request: $12,500 (Seeking 2-3 sponsors)
Sponsorship Details: Annually, United Way hosts an annual meeting luncheon at the Augusta Marriott Hotel & Suites. Typically, the meeting is held at 12 noon on the last Tuesday of each February. This has become a premiere event in the business community with approximately 550-600 community leaders attending. This event includes a report of recent UWCSRA accomplishments, the announcement of the latest campaign total and a motivational speaker. Sponsorship covers the cost of invitations, programs, decorations, guest speaker, audio-visual, etc. 
Opportunity for sponsor: All communication and media coverage features sponsor’s name and logo. Sponsor is recognized at the meeting with signage, the program, etc. Additionally, a representative of the sponsoring organization is seated at the head table and is invited to make comments.
 
2009 Parking Sponsor for Annual Meeting
Sponsorship Commitment by: December 2008
Sponsorship Request: $500 (Seeking 1 sponsor)
Sponsorship Details: Annually, United Way hosts an annual meeting luncheon at the Augusta Marriott Hotel & Suites, and we provide free parking for our 550-600 guests. Sponsorship covers the cost of parking for our guests.
Opportunity for sponsor: Sponsor’s name and logo will appear on all parking tickets, and the sponsor will be recognized at the meeting. Sponsor is also given the opportunity to place business cards or brochures on each table at the meeting.
