“Spirit of Community” Award Winner

The third annual Spirit of Community Award was awarded recently to Procter & Gamble Manufacturing Company (P&G). This traveling award is presented each year to a company that exemplifies strong participation, high employee and corporate per capita giving, strong leadership, and overall volunteerism within the community.  P&G demonstrates all these characteristics by running a model campaign. This company consistently increases their donations year after year.

Procter & Gamble not only ran a model campaign, they also donated products to United Way to use as incentives for other company campaigns, has employees serve on our Citizens Review Panels, continues to participate in Project Serve, and has tremendous support from their management team.  This company truly exemplifies what United Way is all about – as they GIVE, ADVOCATE and VOLUNTEER – they truly LIVE UNITED!
