JEFFERY PARTRIDGE NAMED
ALVIN W. VOGTLE VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR FOR 2017!
Mr. Jeffery Partridge was nominated by Jefferson County Community SHIPS for Youth, Inc. where he has demonstrated outstanding volunteer service. He has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills as a Board Member and Chairman of the Board for Jefferson County Community SHIPS for Youth. He has set an example for other Board Members by contributing financially as well as volunteering his time to building the agency.
Through his leadership, the organization began its annual fundraiser activities, raising approximately $6,500 annually, and started a scholarship fund for high school seniors who demonstrate community volunteerism. In addition, he volunteers to cater the semi-annual Community Collaborative Appreciation Dinner for approximately 100 guests and volunteers with the annual Toys for Tots, Back to School, and Health Fair events sponsored by SHIPS for Youth.
For the past ten years, Mr. Partridge has volunteered as a Firefighter with the Cities of Louisville and Wadley Fire Departments. He has attended training at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (Fire Academy) to advance his career in the fire service. He currently holds the title of Captain at Louisville Fire Department. His job responsibilities include training and maintaining certifications of 30 volunteer firefighters.
He is a member of the Jefferson County High School Football Booster Club and Chain crew and is a Deacon and Minister of Music at Wadley Baptist Church. Mr. Partridge is well known throughout the area for his outstanding volunteer service.
