Give Back to the CSRA on May 5, #GivingTuesdayNow

Even as businesses reopen in Georgia, the CSRA remains cautious on how to deal with the new normal.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to rapidly change and impact individuals and families in our community. We’re juggling school and work from home. We’re keeping up-to-date with the news to learn how to best protect ourselves. And we’re trying our very best to stay in touch with loved ones from afar.

Even with all of the uncertainty, one truth remains constant: those on the front lines working to keep us healthy and businesses operating smoothly need our support now more than ever. That’s why we partnered with Carole Fabrics to create Mask It Up CSRA – an effort to provide high quality cloth face masks in line with CDC guidelines to local first responders, essential workers, and the most vulnerable individuals living and working in the CSRA. To celebrate their ongoing dedication and sacrifice, please join us in saying thank you on May 5, #GivingTuesdayNow and for the days to come. Our effort will be just one part of the bigger day of giving and unity.

How You Can Help Our Community During #GivingTuesdayNow:

A donation of just $5 will allow us to provide one high quality cloth face mask made by local employees at Carole Fabrics to a first responder, essential worker, or vulnerable individual in the CSRA. Visit uwcsra.org/facemask and click the donate today button to contribute. We look forward to your support.

Is your organization, non-profit or staff and residents in need of protective cloth face masks? We’re here to help you, too. Simply visit uwcsra.org/facemask and click the face mask request button to fill out our form.

The #GivingTuesdayNow movement began as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. It is a global day of giving and unity that will take place next Tuesday, May 5. The annual day of giving #GivingTuesday will take place on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Dec. 1.

We thank you for giving back on #GivingTuesdayNow. If you’d like, please share how you’re supporting frontline workers and vulnerable individuals in the CSRA with the hashtags #FrontlineLove, #FrontlineHeroes, #COVIDHeroes or #InThisTogether.

Feel free to share our posts on Facebook @UnitedWayoftheCSRA and Instagram @unitedwaycsra to spread the word!
