A New President Arrives

Don't worry ..... we aren't talking about a national election here.

Brittany Burnett, who spent more than a decade in various positions at United Way of Greater Atlanta, has arrived to the River Region as the new President and CEO of United Way of the CSRA.

Our new leader worked alongside now retired President LaVerne Gold for a month meeting with business leaders, attending countless community groups and functions, all while learning what makes our many communities tick.

Mrs. Burnett comes to United Way with more than 14 years of fundraising, strategic planning, management, and leadership experience in the nonprofit sector. She has experience with annual fundraising, donor cultivation, board management, special events, and effective communications. In short, she's nothing less than a nonprofit maverick.

“Brittany is committed to the values of United Way and to fulfilling the needs of our local community.  She’s a champion of new ideas and solutions, and we are excited to have her on our team.”

- Scott Elledge, United Way of the CSRA's Board Chair.

We announced our 2018 campaign fundraising goal of $3,278,925 at our annual kickoff event this past August. This goal represents the number of lives our United Way has been able to impact in the CSRA over the past 15 years.

Anyone can help us reach this goal whether you are a part of a workplace campaign, hold special events for United Way, or just want to give an individual gift. We look forward to getting more businesses and our young leaders involved as our campaign continues.
